There are Anmitsu, beans and so on, but eating in the shop is delicious. Anmitsu is made by craftsmen in stores, but souvenirs are mass-produced.
It is a delicious shop. It is a shop with many kinds of sweetness.
Could spend hours, literally x
Good Japanese cafe (confectionery). Not so expensive.
Expensive (about 900 yen or $9USD) but delicious and beautiful.
Cute traditional tea and sweets restaurant.
This shop was recommended on the series sweet tooth salesman so i decided to pay a visit.First time eating in a dessert shop in japan. Love the selections of hot and cold desserts. Surprised by the large portions.Nice location and nice ambience. The only weird part was that the menu is outside the shop and i had to take a picture of what i want and show the cashier in the shop.
Traditional Japanese dessert. There are quite a good range of menu choice, but most dessert are pretty much the same stuff with different toping or sides. Non the less it is still tasty and a great experience especially if you are touring the area. Downside is that each guest must order a dish on their own. I came with a friend who is not a fan of sweets and dessert, but was along with me as a company, so we had a hard time trying to finish 2 dishes of extremely sweet dessert.
When I am in Asakusa running around, this is one of two final rest places before heading home. My standard is 粟ãœã‚“ã–ã„, millet with sweetened red bean paste. Actually, they serve lily seeds goo instead of millet.
Bean paste of millet Zenzai is very smooth.
Delicious 'Millet rice cake and adzuki bean jam' (792yen) and 'Mitsumame topped with adzuki beans and green tea ice cream' (858yen)! Highly recommended!
Very traditional sweet shop. If you happen to passby, please try one of it.
If you are a fan of traditional Japanese desserts, this is a must visit place in the area. The shop is more than a hundred years old, so the taste can't be too wrong. However, minimum order is required per adult if you're dining in. Recommend anything with green tea on it!
sweet

Delicious!
I liked the seating area inside, and the wagashi dessert I had was LOVELY - some toasted mochi squares with sweet warm red bean paste.
